ARMATURE  GROUP  REPLACEMENT  (CONT) WARNINGS Be sure there is no fuel or fuel vapor present, which might be ignited by the spark and cause a fire or explosion. 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 4-64 To prevent electric shock, be careful when connecting power cable to 12/24 VOLT INPUT FOR STARTING  connection. NOTES Ignition system requires a minimum of 350 RPM to produce a spark. Two persons may be required for next step. Remove  spark  plug  wires. Hold spark plug wire approx. 1/8 in.    (1/3 cm) from ground (any metal  section  of  engine). NOTE Two persons may be required for next step. If  electrical  power  available: Insert power cable in 12/24 VOLT INPUT  FOR  STARTING  connection. Hold toggle switch S3 in START position and press down starter button S7. If  electrical  power  unavailable: Press pneumatic timer switch S8 and pull starter rope. If spark jumps the 1/8 in. (1/3 cm) gap, you may assume the ignition  system  is  functioning  satisfactory.
