Leak test the flare nuts and tubing in the area of the strainer.

Testing.
Disconnect input power to the air conditioner before performing any maintenance on the electrical system.
Voltages used can be lethal.

Disconnect power.
(2)
Tag and disconnect leads.
(3)
Use a continuity tester or a multimeter set on the lowest OHMS scale to check for continuity between
leads. If continuity is not found, the coil is open and must be replaced.
