Rings and Pistons.
(1)  Whenever there is a noticeable wear ridge at the top of each cylinder, remove the ridge with a ridge reamer
before removing the pistons. If not, the rings can catch the ridge when pushing out the pistons and cause a ring land
fracture. See figure 5-43.
