Step 1.
Check air conditioner operating pressures for excessive refrig-
erant in the system in accordance with paragraph 4-12f.
R e l e a s e excess refrigerant from the system until the proper
charge is attained (see figure 4-2).
Step 2.
Check for restriction in condenser air flow.
Clean condenser coil and/or remove restriction in accordance

Step 1.
Check for insufficient refrigerant in the system indicated by
bubbles in the sight glass.
A d d refrigerant in accordance with the procedures given in
Step 2.
I f adding refrigerant to the system does not clear up bubbles in
the sight glass, there may be air in the system.
R e m o v e refrigerant from the system (see figure 4-2). Purge
t h e system in accordance with paragraph 4-8. Evacuate the
system (see figure 4-4) and recharge the system with refrig-
erant in accordance with paragraph 4-10.

Step 1.
Yellow in sight glass is caused by contamination in the refriger-
ant.
Open the system and remove refrigerant (see figure 4-2).
Remove dehydrator (drier) (see figure 4-16) and purge the
s y s t e m in accordance with the procedures given in paragraph
4-8. Install a new dehydrator (drier) (see figure 4-16),
