TM   5-4120-377-14 2-21.  OPERATION  UNDER  EMERGENCY  CONDITIONS a.  CBR  (chemical,  biological,  radiological)  hazard.  This  unit  has  provisions  for  connection  to  an  external CBR filtering source. Should it be necessary to operate in conditions requiring use of CBR filtration equipment, see  specific  instructions  for  your  shelter  or  facility  installation. Figure 2-21. CBR Filter Connection Location b.  The  following  are  general  suggestions  and  do  not  apply  if  they  conflict  with  instructions  for  your  shelter or   facility   installation. (1) The fresh air damper (door) should be closed, the opening should be covered with a suitable material, and  sealed  air  tight. (2)  Fresh  air  damper  (door)  chain  may  be  taped  over  to  prevent  damper  from  being  opened. (3)  The  conditioned  air  inlet  louvers  should  be  adjusted  (partially  or  completely)  closed  in  conjunction with the CBR filter intake volume. This will cause a more positive pressure on inside of shelter or enclosure and keep  air  from  being  drawn  in  other  than  through  the  CBR  filter. c.  Power  conservation.  During  periods  when  full  208  volt,  3  phase  power  is  in  critically  short  supply,  if  the air  conditioner  cannot  be  turned  off  completely,  it  shouId  be  operated  in  VENTILATE  mode  only. 2-25/(2-26 blank)
