Test NOTE Valves are factory set and sealed to start opening when suction pressure decreases to 58 psig. Do not break seal. (1) Perform a refrigeration pressure check on unit in accordance with paragraph 5-12. Leave the (2)  Set  Temperature (3) Place fan speed gages on service manifold attached. control  thermostat  knob  to  fully  INCREASE. switch in HI SPEED. (4) Start unit in COOL mode. (5) Observe pressure gages. (6) Suction pressure should drop to 58 ±2 psi (4.0 ±0.14 kg/cm2) shortly after  compressor  starts,   and then remain constant. (7) If unit fails the above test, the valve must be replaced. (8) Turn unit OFF. b. Removal Preliminary procedures: 1. Discharge  the  refrigerant  per  paragraph  5-6. 2. Remove top panel.
