a. Removal.
(1) Remove five screws (1) and alternator magnet (2).
(2) Remove two screws (3), flat washers (4), and safety plates (5).
(3) Tag and disconnect wire leads (6) by removing two wire splices (7).
(4) Remove four screws (8) and alternator coil (9).
