Loosen screw on mechanical post and disconnect push-pull control. Remove two screws and Iockwashers and lift vent damper from air conditioner. Remove both evaporator louvers. Remove screw, washer, nut, spacer and loop clamp. Loosen screw and mechanical post to free end of control wire core. Remove outer nuts from both ends of control outer casing and remove push-pull control. Remove screw, nut, two spring washers and ac- tuator. Wipe off all loose dirt with dry cloth. Wipe off any buildup of “caked” on dirt. Inspect push-pull control for smooth operation of core in casing. Inspect vent damper for bent or broken condition. Inspect for loose or damaged rubber seal or damp- er. Cement loose rubber or replace as required. Vent Control Actuator. Install actuator, screw, two spring washers and nut. Vent Damper. Install vent damper in opening in housing. Secure vent damper cover to housing with two screws  and  Iockwashers. Push-Pull Control. With one nut on each end of outer casing of push-pull control, install ends of control through opening in housing. Install outer nuts and insert ends of wire core into mechanical posts of damper and actuator. Remarks 5.22 FRESH AIR DAMPER. - Continued Removal Installation 5-71
