TM  9-4120-367-14 TM 07592B-14/1 6.1  PRESSURE TEST. - Continued Location/Item Action Remarks Procedure a.   Turn the MODE switch to COOL, and the TEM- PERATURE SELECTOR switch to maximum COOLER. b.  Slowly open the charging valves to which pressure gauges have been connected. c.   Let the air conditioner operate for at least 15 min- utes in the COOLING mode, so that all parts of the system are stabilized. d.   Record the temperatures indicated by both ther- mometers and the pressure indicated by both pressure  gauges. e.  Compare the readings obtained from pressure testing with the normal ranges shown in table 6-1. Analysis of a.  If actual pressure-temperature relationships differ Discrepancies from those shown in table 6-1, take appropriate action. (1)  If pressures are too low, see table 6-3 and table 6-4. (2)  If pressures are too high, see table 6-2. (3)  If discharge pressure is extremely high and suction pressure is extremely low, blockage may exist in the refrigeration system. Trouble- shoot, correct the trouble, recharge if neces- sary, and repeat the pressure test. Completion a.   After pressure testing has been successfully com- pleted, close the suction and discharge service valves. b.   Drain the pressure from the charging manifold and hose very slowly by cracking the hose on the suc- tion and discharge service valves. c.  Remove thermometers and charging manifold from the unit. 6-3
