TM 9-4120-389-14 Table 4-2.  UNIT TROUBLESHOOTING- (cont.) MALFUNCTION TEST OR INSPECTION CORRECTIVE ACTION Step 2. Check operation of mode selector switch.  Turn switch to VENT, then reset to COOL. NOTE Allow 30 seconds time delay before compressor starts. Step 3. Check  for  loose  or  damaged  electrical  connectors,  or  damaged  wires  in  wiring  harnesses. Tighten or replace connectors, or repair damaged wires (See para.  4-36). Step 4. Check operation of time delay relay (K1). Test relay (See para.  4-50).  Replace defective relay. Step 5. Check operation of compressor relay (K3). Test relay  (See para.  4-49).  Replace defective relay. Step 6. Check operation of compressor circuit breaker. Test circuit breaker (See para.  4-39).  Replace defective circuit breaker. Step 7 Check  operation  of  compressor  (B1).    If  not  operating,  contact  your  supervisor  and  Direct Support  Maintenance. 4-43
