5-12. FUSIBLE PLUG
Preliminary procedure: Remove top cover (See para. 4-14).

a. Inspection
(1) Check for evidence of leakage. Leak test per para. 5-6, if leak is suspected.
(2) Check for damage. Replace if damaged.
b. Removal
(1) Discharge the refrigerant system per para. 5-3.
(2) Hold fitting so that it is not twisted and unscrew fusible plug.
