TROUBLESHOOTING PROCEDURE

CONTAMINATED REFRIGERANT.

SYMPTOM

The refrigerant is contaminated.

MALFUNCTION

The refrigerant is contaminated.

CORRECTIVE ACTION

The refrigerant is contaminated if the sight glass appears yellow after the

compressor has run for about an hour, instead of green. Replace the dehydrator

if necessary. (WP 0075 00).

TROUBLESHOOTING PROCEDURE

SYMPTOM

The air conditioner remains noisy during operation.

MALFUNCTION

The expansion valve is defective.

CORRECTIVE ACTION

Check the expansion valve and replace if defective. (WP 0077 00).

The quench valve is defective.

CORRECTIVE ACTION

Check the quench valve and replace if defective. (WP 0078 00).

The compressor is making noise internally and is loosely mounted.

CORRECTIVE ACTION

If necessary, tighten the loose mounting and replace the compressor if defective.
