WARNING
Dangerous Chemical Refrigerant Under Pressure is used in the operation of this
equipment.
Use great care to avoid contact with the liquid refrigerant or inhaling refrigerant gas that
is discharged from any container that is pressurized. Sudden and irreversible tissue
damage can result from freezing. Wear thermal protective gloves and a face protector or
safety glasses in any situation when skin or eye contact is possible.
Prevent contact of refrigerant gas with a flame or other hot surfaces. Heat causes the
refrigerant to break down and form carbonyl chloride (phosgene), a highly toxic and
corrosive gas. Unit contains R-22, a chemical substance that harms public health and the
environment by destroying ozone in the upper atmosphere. Qualified personnel must
service equipment only.
Never introduce high discharge pressure into a refrigerant cylinder. This can cause the
cylinder to rupture and injure personnel.
