5. Open front access cover (10).
WARNING
Do not remove heater hoses when engine is hot; steam and hot coolant can escape
and burn personnel.
Use clean wipe rags or like material to remove heater hoses. Avoid using gloves. If
hot water soaks through gloves, personnel could be burned.
Coolant is slippery and can cause falls and injury. Clean up spilled coolant
immediately.
CAUTION
As hoses are removed, plug all hoses and flanges to keep out foreign matter.
Failure to comply may cause damage to equipment.
NOTE
Approximately one pint (0.47 L) of coolant will drain from heater after hoses are removed.
6. Position drain pan under two heater hoses (11).
7. Loosen two clamps (12) and remove heater hoses (11) from flanges (13).
