TM 10-4110-262-13&P
The amount of a refrigerant required by a refrigeration system to operate
Refrigerant
properly. The refrigerant charge is usually measured by weight.
Charge
One of the two components of the ADR-300 system. The RU is the mechanical
Refrigeration
system and associated controls that maintain the temperature inside the IC at
Unit (RU)
the required set point.
A component of the Refrigeration Unit that includes the mechanical components
Refrigerator
for transporting the refrigerant from the cold section to the hot section and back
to the cold section.
A device that switches an electrical circuit on or off based on a secondary
control circuit.
The pressure at which a fluid of a given temperature will exist in both liquid and
Saturation
vapor states. Saturation pressures of a refrigerant determine the evaporator
Pressure
and condenser coil temperatures for a given refrigeration system.
The air temperature inside the IC that is being maintained by the RU.
Set Point
Product Quality Deficiency Report the form to be used to report design or
SF368
operational deficiencies or recommendations for improvements to the ADR-300
system
A valve that is opened or closed on the basis of an electric control signal or
Solenoid Valve
voltage. The ADR-300 uses a solenoid valve to direct the flow of refrigerant
during the defrost cycle.
The low-pressure (evaporator) side of the refrigeration system.
Suction Side
Wires are tagged or marked to indicate the terminals or mating wires from which
Tag Wires
they will be removed before a service operation. This insures that the wires will
be reconnected properly after the service operation is completed.
The component of the RU that is used to input commands to the refrigerator
Unit Controller
control system. The controller includes a digital display and input keys for
inputting and modifying stored information.
Volts alternating current
VAC
Volts direct current
VDC
A section of this manual that describes a specific characteristic or service
Work Package
procedure for the ADR-300.
