Inspect the evaporator coil
Inspection
for bent or torn fins and
for damaged connections.
Cleaning
Dry cleaning solvent (App.D,
Item 16) used to clean parts is
potentially dangerous to personnel
and property. Avoid repeated
and prolonged skin contact.
Do not use near open flame or
excessive heat. Flash point of
solvent is 100F (38C).
Clean coil using cleaning
solvent (App.D, Item 16)
and soft brush.
Installation
Place coil in air conditioner,

and secure coil to brackets
with screws, lockwashers and
flat washers.

Connect tubing to coil. Before
brazing joints, provide a flow
of dry nitrogen through refri-
geration system to protect
internal surfaces of the tubing
