Section VI MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES

4-20. General. The procedures in this section have been arranged in the order in which the items appear in the unit (O)

maintenance level column on the Maintenance Allocation Chart (MAC) which is provided in Appendix B. Step by step

procedures have been provided for all actions authorized to be performed by Unit Maintenance in the order in which they

appear on the MAC. Actions authorized to be performed by Intermediate Direct Support and Intermediate General

Support Maintenance have been noted; step by step procedures for these actions may be found in Chapters 5 and 6

respectively.

WARNING

Panels, covers, screens, grilles, and guards installed on the unit are there for a

purpose.

Do no operate unit with them off or open unless instructions tell you to. When

necessary, do so with care.
