Check  refrigerant. 1.   Operate air conditioner for 15 minutes with temperature control  in  maximum  COOLER  position. 2.   lnspect Iiquid in sight glass (on back of condenser section). Is liquid clear bubble-free? Use leak detector to find refrigerant leak (paragraph 6.2). 1.   Repair or change defective part or repair leak. 2.   Charge system with refrigerant (paragraph 6.7 or 6.8). 3.   Operate air conditioner for 15 minutes with temperature control  in  maximum  COOLER  position. Is coding action effection? Air  conditioner  is operational. j. Check Liquid Line Solenoid Valve U2 coil. 1.  Remove  power. 2. Remove top cover, condenser. 3. Disconnect leads from valve coil U2. 4. Measure resistance of coil L2. Is coil resistance 25 to 50 ohms? Connect  leads. Change soenoid valve L2 coil. 1. Connect  Ieads to new coil. 2. Apply power. 3. Operater in COOL mode with maximum cooler Is cooling action effective? High voltage in air conditioner can kill you. Check refrigeraor system. 1.   Measure ambient outside temperature. 2.   Operate air conditioner in COOL mode with maximum COOLER temperature setting for at least 15 minuites. 3.   Measure condenser discharge air temperature which should be 30 to 40°F (-1 to 4°C) above ambient. 4.   Measure temperatures of air going info (return) and out of (discharge) evaporates section. 5.  Discharge should be 15 to 25°F (-10 to -4°C) lower than return air temperate. Are  temperatures  within  tolerances? Air conditioner is Go to Step k. operational. Replace  cover. Go to Step m.     Air condition is cperational. 4-33 temperature  setting. h.
