Inspect.
a.
(1) Disconnect power at the power source.
(2) Remove top front cover (para 4-11).
(3) Remove junction box and control module (para 4-21 and
4-27).
(4) Check that solder connections and terminals are tight and
in good condition.
(5) Check that harness wires have no cuts, broken wires, or
frayed insulation.
(6) Check that attaching hardware is tight and in good
condition.
(7) Inspect electrical parts for obvious damage such as
cracks, evidence of overheating and broken terminals.
(8) Replace all damaged or broken parts.

7 to pin 8.
If
either winding is open, replace transformer.
(b) Check for shorts between one terminal of each winding
and transformer case and also between one primary terminal and one
secondary terminal using an insulation tester, megger or multimeter
on high ohms setting.
Replace transformer if a short is indicated.
