(2) Refer to Table 5-3 for minimum and maximum endplay. If there is too much endplay, remove the rearbearing end plate

and replace the gasket with a thinner gasket from the gasket kit. For too little endplay, remove the rear bearing end plate

and replace the gasket with a thicker one. Reinstall the end plate making sure the thrust washer notches line up with the

lock pins. Torque and recheck endplay of the crankshaft.

The engine uses an oil pump to lubricate engine parts.

(2)

Normal oil pressure should be 30 psi or higher when the engine is at operating normal temperature. If

pressure drops below 30 psi at governor speed, inspect the oil system for faulty components.

If oil pressure is low, first check oil level. If oil level is correct, the oil pump should be checked.
