TM 5-4120-341-13
Section Ill. OPERATION UNDER USUAL CONDITIONS
4-6. ASSEMBLY AND PREPARATION FOR TYPICAL USE
4-7. POSITION THE UNIT
The total weight of the air conditioner is 153 pounds (69.40 kg.). Use a hand truck or fork lift of at least
200 pounds (90.8 kg.) capacity to unload the air conditioner. Keep the air conditioner upright during
unloading. Pick a place that is as level as possible. Install the air conditioner in a van, shelter, or any room
through an opening 15 7/8 inches (40.3225 cm) high by 26 1/4 inches (66.675 cm) long. Make sure that
the air conditioner is installed so there is no restriction on the air flow, so that return air will collect the
greatest amount of warm air in the space to be cooled. Make sure that the control panel is accessible to the
operator and maintenance personnel.
4-8. MOUNT THE UNIT
Brace the air conditioner with two (2) brackets to resist shock. Bolt the air conditioner to the brackets
using the four (4) threaded holes in the bottom of the air conditioner.
