INTRODUCTION

SCOPE.
C-1.
This appendix lists components of end item and basic issue items for the air
conditioner to help you inventory items required for safe and efficient operation.
GENERAL.
C-2.
T h e Components of End Item and Basic Issue Items Lists are divided into the
following sections:
a .  S e c t i o n I I .  Components of End Item.  T h i s  l i s t i n g  i s  f o r  i n f o r m a t i o n a l
purposes only, and is not authority to requisition replacements.
These items are
p a r t of the end item, but are removed and separately packaged for transportation
o r shipment.
As part of the end item, these items must be with the end item when-
ever it is issued or transferred between property accounts.
b .  S e c t i o n  I I I .  B a s i c I s s u e I t e m s .  T h e s e are the minimum essential items
required to place the air conditioner in operation, to operate it, and to perform
e m e r g e n c y repairs.
Although shipped separately packaged. BII must be with the
air conditioner during operation and whenever it is transferred between property acc
accounts.
This manual is your authority to request/requisition replacement BII,
b a s e d on TOE/MTOE authorization of the end item.
EXPLANATION OF COLUMNS.
C-3.
The following provides an explanation of columns found in the tabular listings:
a .  C o l u m n (1) - I l l u s t r a t i o n  N u m b e r  ( I l l u s  N u m b e r ) .
This
column
indicates
t h e number of the illustration in which the item is shown.
Not applicable.
b . C o l u m n ( 2 ) - National Stock Number.
I n d i c a t e s the National stock number
assigned to the item and will be used for requisitioning purposes.
c .  Column (3) -  D e s c r i p t i o n .
I n d i c a t e s the Federal item name and, if
required, a minimum description to identify and locate the item. The last line
for each item indicates the FSCM (in parentheses) followed by the part number.
(Enter portions of next two sentences, only in applicable.) If item needed differs
f o r different models of this equipment, the model is shown under the "Usable On"
heading in this column.
These codes are identified as:
CODE
USED ON
d .  Column (4) - Unit of Measure (U/M).
I n d i c a t e s the measure used in perform-
i n g the actual operational/maintenance function.
This measure is expressed by a
two-character alphabetical abbreviation (e.g., ea, in, pr).
e.  Column (5) - Quantity required (Qty rqr). Indicates the quantity of the
i t e m authorized to be used with/on the equipment.
