Step 2.
Check to see if temperature selector control is set correctly.
Adjust control to WARMER.
Inspect evaporator return air filter for dirty condition.
Step 3.
Clean filter (paragraph 4-3).
Inspect for defective temperature selector switch or mode selector switch.
Step 4.
Replace defective switch (paragraph 4-26).
Inspect for defective heater high temperature cutout thermostatic switch.
Step 5.
Replace defective thermostatic switch (paragraph 4-31).
Test for defective heater relay.
Step 6.
Relay defective relay (paragraph 4-27).
Inspect and test for defective heaters and associated wiring.
Step 7.
Tighten connections and repair damaged wiring. Replace defective heater
Test for defective evaporator fan motor.
Step 8.
Replace motor (paragraph 4-21).
EXCESSIVE NOISE

Step 1.
Check evaporator fan or condenser fan for loose blades or loose mounting.
Tighten all mounting hard ware.
Tighten fan blade on motor shaft.
Test for defective or worn evaporator or condenser fan motor.
Step 2.
Replace worn or defective motor (paragraph 4-21 and 4-23).
Check to see if compressor knocks or chatters.
Step 3.
Stop air conditioner and report condition to Direct Support maintenance.
Section VII. MAINTENANCE OF AIR CONDITIONER
4-15.
GENERAL.
This section describes the testing, removal, and installation of the system components which
are the responsibility y of organizational maintenance.  Use the wiring digram (FO-1) to check the
exact connections of wiring.  Refer to the schematic (FO-2) for component nomenclature and as
a guide for troubleshooting.
NOTE
When disconnecting any electrical wiring tag or mark
wire as to location removed from, for easy reconnection.
