4-35. PREPARATION FOR STORAGE OR SHIPMENT

Disconnect the power cable. Unbolt the air conditioner from mounting brackets. It will be desirable to

cover the air conditioner during transit. Crate the air conditioner for long-distance movement.

a. No special preservation, packaging, packing, marking, or shipping requirements are associated

with the storage or shipment of the unit.

b. The use of corrosion-preventive compounds, moisture barriers, and dessicant materials is not

required.

c. Before placing the unit in storage, the next scheduled preventive maintenance checks and services

shouId be performed, and all known deficiencies corrected.
