(2) To replace overload (thermal) protectors:

Overload protectors are not replaceable on this motor. If

testing (para 4-36) indicates an open overload protector, replace

motor.

(3) To replace bearings:

(a) Match-mark stator and both end bells to ease

reassembly.

(b) Remove four screws from end bracket.

Carefully separate end bracket from stator. Using a

brass or plastic bar and hammer tap opposite sides,

top, and bottom in alternating sequence to break end

bracket loose.
