After  15  minutes,  observe  sight  glass  on  back  of  condenser
section.
Be sure that the, refrigeration system is not in bypass.
When  system  goes  into  bypass  bubbles  will  appear  in  the  sight
glass.
Green  center
means
refrigerant
moisture
content
is
acceptable.
Yellow  center  means  there  is  too  much  moisture  in  system.
It  must  be  discharged,  evacuated,  and  charqed  again.
Milky  white
or
bubbly liquid means system has a low
charge.
Clean  bubble-free  liquid
around
center
means
the
system
i s  f u lly  charged.

I f charge
is
low
to g a s position.
Be
sure
drum
is
switched
(1)
Open drum
valve.
Continue
to
charge
until
sight
glass
is
clean
and
bubble-
(2)
free.
Close  low  pressure
air
conditioner
charging
valve
and
(3)
refrigerant  drum  valve.
w.
T u r n MODE SELECTOR switch to OFF.

Check  that  high  and  low  pressure  air  conditioner
charging
valves
are  closed  and  remove  charging  manifold  hoses.
On models F18H-3S and F18H-1S install charging valve access
y.
cover and secure with four screws.
On  all  other  models  install  top
cover  (see  para  4-11).
