TM5-4120-387-14 d. Crimping terminals. To install a terminal on the end of a wire, strip 1/4 - 1/2 inch (0,6 - 13 mm) of insulation from the end of the wire, apply a one-inch piece of heat-shrink tubing (if the terminals are of the uninsulated type), and insert wire end into the shank of the terminal. Crimp the shank, and install heat-shrink tubing, if necessary. 4-28.  JUNCTION  BOX The junction box is a protective enclosure that contains the compressor circuit breaker (CB), fuses (F1 and F2), time delay relays (K6 and K9), compressor start relay (K1), heater relay (K2) and terminal boards (TB1 and TB2). The transformer (T) and capacitor assembly (C3) are mounted outside of the junction box. Always disconnect power cord to air conditioner  before  performing  any  internal  maintenance. Shutting unit off at its control panel does not disconnect unit  power. 4-70
