TM5-4120-387-14 (4)   Slip   dehydrator   and   bracket   from   air   conditioner. (5) Using screwdriver and wrench, remove screw, lockwasher, and nut from bracket. (6) Remove dehydrator from bracket. c . Installation Replacement  dehydrators  are  packaged  with  sealing  caps  on  the flare  fittings  to  prevent  moisture  contamination  of  the desiccant  filtering  media. Remove  these  caps  immediately prior to installation. Never install a dehydrator from which caps have been removed for an extended or unknown period of time. (1) Place dehydrator in bracket. (2) Loosely assemble bracket with screw, lockwasher, and nut on dehydrator. (3) Slip dehydrator and bracket into place. (4) Be sure that flow arrow is pointing up. (5) Using two wrenches, tighten both flare nuts. (6) Using screwdriver,    install bracket with screw and lockwasher. (7) Using screwdriver and wrench,   tighten bracket on dehydrator. (8) Leak test all newly connected joints and those in the repaired area. (See para 5-9.) (9) Evacuate and charge the refrigerant system. (See para 5-10 and 5-11.)
