4-43. Relays (K1, K2, K7, and K8)

Equipment condition:
1. Turn unit power off at power source. If there is a chance that it will be turned on, also disconnect power
cable to air conditioner.
2. Remove lower front panel. See para 4-24.
General Safety Instructions:
WARNING
Disconnect input power to the air conditioner before performing any internal
maintenance. Voltages used can KILL. Shutting the unit off at the control panel
does not disconnect unit power.
REMOVAL
1.
Using screwdriver, remove four screws (1) from junction box cover (2). Remove cover (2).
2.
Remove nut (5), washer (6), and terminal cover (7) from relay (8).
NOTE
Inspection/Testing (installed) can be done at this point.
3.
Tag and disconnect wire leads.
4.
Using wrench, remove four nuts (3) and washers (4) and remove relay (8).
