WARNING
Ensure power source is disconnected. Ensure refrigerant
system is discharged.
INSPECT
1.
Check linkage between linear actuator and condenser discharge damper. Ensure fasteners and brackets are secure
and tight. Ensure pivot arm engages both the linear-actuator bracket and the condenser air discharge louver.
2.
Check for free movement of linear-actuator pivot arm.
REMOVAL
1.
Remove screw (1), flat washer (2), plastic washer (3), and lockwasher (4), and remove the pivot arm (5) from the
linear-actuator bracket (7) and shaft (6) of pivot arm bracket.
2.
Disconnect flare nut (8) to linear-actuator (9).
3.
Remove linear-actuator (9) by removing two capscrews (10) and lockwashers (11) that attaches the linear-actuator
bracket (12) to the condenser fan housing (13).
4.
Remove the two nuts (14) that attach the linear-actuator (9) to the linear-actuator bracket (12).
INSTALLATION
1.
Attach the linear-actuator (9) to the linear-actuator bracket (12) with two nuts (14).
2.
Secure the linear-actuator bracket (12) to the fan housing (13) with two lockwashers (11) and capscrews (10).
3.
Position the pivot arm (5) on shaft (6) of pivot arm bracket and onto the linear-actuator bracket (7).
4.
Install lockwasher (4), plastic washer (3), flat washer (2), and screw (1) and secure pivot arm (5) onto shaft (6) of
pivot arm bracket.
5.
Connect flare nut (8) to linear-actuator (9).
6.
Install top cover (see WP 0018 00).
7.
Service the refrigeration system (see WP 0044 00 thru WP 0050 00).
