13. Connect two electrical connectors (Figure 9, Item 17) to MPC circuit board (Figure 9, Item 6) and secure with
two screws (Figure 9, Item 15) and washers (Figure 9, Item 16).
14. Connect electrical connector P2 (Figure 9, Item 12) to MPC circuit board (Figure 9, Item 6).
15. Secure P2 cable (Figure 9, Item 12) to MPC circuit board (Figure 9, Item 6) with tie wrap (Figure 9, Item 14).
16. Install bolt (Figure 9, Item 1) securing ground wires (Figure 9, Item 2) to MPC panel (Figure 9, Item 3).
17. Reconnect the negative (-) battery terminal (WP 70, Reconnect).
CAUTION
The logic board will be destroyed if either terminal A1 or A3 is grounded. Terminal A2
is ground. Since these terminals are only 1/16 inch apart, extreme caution should be
taken to ensure neither A1 or A3 touches A2.
NOTE
When replacing a microprocessor it is important to check that the configurations are
compatible for the unit into which it will be installed. All configuration fields should be
viewed before starting the unit, this may be done using the microprocessor keypad.
18. To access the configuration settings, place jumper wire between terminals A1 and A3 using a insulated
jumper wire.
19. Move the main power switch (RS) to the ON position.
20. Move the MCD panel ON/OFF switch to ON (Figure 10, item 1).
