Inspection.
( a ) Inspect top panel assembly for damage which would impair ser-
viceability.
(b) Inspect top panel assembly for missing, damaged or insecurely
attached insulation and gaskets.
( 3 ) R e p a i r . Attach insecurely attached insulation and or gaskets with
adhesive.
(4) Replace.
(a) Panel.
R e p l a c e top panel assembly if damaged so that service-
ability would be impaired.
( b ) Gasket. Replace gasket if damaged or missing. New gaskets are
i n s t a l l e d by removing the strip from the gasket adhesive backing and pressing the
gasket in place.
( c ) I n s u l a t i o n . R e p l a c e damaged or missing insulation on top panel

( 1 ) R e m o v a l . R e m o v e a t t a c h i n g screws and remove a i r d i s c h a r g e g r i l l e
from air conditioner.
(2) Inspection.
( a ) I n s p e c t a i r d i s c h a r g e grille for damage w h i c h would impair ser-
viceability.
(b) Inspect for bent grille parts.

Inspect
f o r missing or damaged g a s k e t .

Service.

W h e n using compressed air for blowing and
c l e a n i n g , air hose pressure must not ex-
c e e d 3 0 p s i g ( 2 k s / c m2 ) , a n d i n d i v i d u a l s
m u s t wear eye protection equipment.
(a) Wash grille with a stream of freshwater.
(b) Dry grille with compressed air.
(4) Repair.
Straighten minor bends and dents in grille.

Replace.
