(ab) Uncap the tubing at point "F" and connect the recovery line to
t h e tubing at point "F".
( a c ) Start pump and flush the l i n e for approximately 10 minutes then
t u r n the pump off.
( a d ) Switch the pump lines so t h a t t h e r e c o v e r y l i n e i s c o n n e c t e d t o
t h e tubing at point "E" and the discharge line i s c o n n e c t e d t o t h e t u b i n g a t p o i n t " F " .
( a e ) S t a r t t h e p u m p a n d f l u s h t h e line for approximately 10 minutes
t h e n turn the pump off.
( 4 ) R e f e r t o f i g u r e 4 - 7 a n d p u r g e t h e system with nitrogen at approxi-
m a t e l y 30 psig (2.11 ks/cm2 ) a s f o l l o w s :
( a ) A l l o w t h e p r e s s u r e e q u a l i z e r s o l e n o i d v a l v e to remain energized.
( b ) Remove caps from tubing at points "C" and "D" and open valves
a t points "A" and "B".
( c ) C o n n e c t th e n i t r o g e n lin e t o t h e v a l v e at poi n t "A " and rel e a s e
n i t r o g e n into the system for approximately 5 minutes or until moisture ceases to be
d i s c h a r g e d from the system.
( d ) Remove the nitrogen line from the valve at point "A" and connect
i t t o t h e v a l v e a t p o i n t " B " . R e l e a s e nitrogen into the system for approximately 5
m i n u t e s or until m o i s t u r e ceases to be discharged from the system.
( e ) Remove the nitrogen line from the valve at point "B" and connect
i t t o t h e t u b i n g a t p o i n t " C " . R e l e a s e nitrogen into the system for approximately 5
m i n u t e s or until m o i s t u r e ceases to be discharged from the system.
( f ) Remove the nitrogen line from the tubing at point "C" and connect
i t t o t h e t u b i n g a t point `D". Release nitrogen into the system for approximately 5
m i n u t e s or until m o i s t u r e ceases to be discharged from the system.
( g ) Remove the nitrogen line from the tubing at point "D" and connect
i t t o t h e t u b i n g a t p o i n t " E " . R e l e a s e nitrogen into the system for approximately 5
m i n u t e s or until m o i s t u r e ceases to be discharged from the system.
( h ) Remove the nitrogen line from the tubing at point "E" and connect
i t t o t h e t u b i n g a t p o i n t " F " . R e l e a s e nitrogen into the system for approximately 5
m i n u t e s or until m o i s t u r e ceases to be discharged from the system.
(i)
R e m o v e nitrogen line fron the tubing at point "F".
( j ) D e - e n e r g i z e the pressure equalizer solenoid valve by removing
t h e dc voltage source fromn across pins E and F of plug P3.
(k)
Close valves (14, 15) at points "A" and "B".
(l)
C a p all open tubing until installation of a new compressor.
