PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE CHECKS AND SERVICES
Section II.
2-3. GENERAL.
To insure that the air conditioner is ready for operation at all times, it must be inspected
systematically so that defects may be discovered and corrected before they result in serious
damage or failure. The necessary preventative maintenance checks and services (PMCS) to be
performed are listed and described in paragraph 2-4. The item numbers indicate the sequence
of minimum inspection requirements.

deficiencies using the proper forms, see TM 38-750.
Defects discovered during operation of the unit will be noted for future correction to be made
as soon as operation of the unit has ceased. Stop operation immediately if during operation a de-
ficiency is noted which would damage the equipment if operation were continued. All deficiencies
and shortcomings will be recorded, together with the corrective action taken, on DA Form 2404
at the earliest possible opportunity.
DAILY PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE SERVICES.
This paragraph contains a tabulated listing of preventative maintenance services which
must be performed by the operator. The item numbers are listed consecutively and indicate
the sequence of minimum requirements. Refer to table 2-1 for the daily preventative mainten-
ance services.
