Step 8.
For S9150-18KH-1 unit, check start kit compacitors (C3 and C4) and relay for continuity.
Replace faulty components (WP 0033 00).

MALFUNCTION
TEST OR INSPECTION
CORRECTIVE ACTION
INSUFFICIENT HEATING
Step 1.
Check that the MAIN CIRCUIT BREAKER is in the ON position and green POWER ON light is lit.
Switch to ON position. Replace bad MAIN CIRCUIT BREAKER. (Refer to WP 0027 00.)
Step 2.
Check that Mode Selector switch is in HEAT position.
Switch to HEAT position. Replace bad Mode Selector switch. (Refer to WP 0026 00).
Step 3.
Check that Temperature Selector switch is in WARMER position.
Switch to WARMER position. Replace bad Temperature Control. (Refer to WP 0028 00.)
Step 4.
Check for inoperative fan motor.
a.  Check fan for operation by feeling for air flow from evaporator discharge louver.
b.  Open fresh air damper and turn selector switch to vent and recheck for air flow.
c.  If not air flow, turn unit off at remote control module and circuit breaker. Remove evaporator
air intake louver (WP 0020 00) and check for faulty evaporator motor bearings. Use TEST
procedure steps of WP 0035 00.
Step 5.
Check continuity of two heater cutout switches at room temperature. Continuity should exist. (Refer
Replace fault switch. See WP 0034 00.
Step 6.
Disconnect heater relay. Apply 24-28 volts to actuate relay and check continuity at power terminals.
Continuity should exist. (Refer to WP 0028 00.)
Replace faulty relay. (Refer to WP 0028 00.)
Step 7.
Check continuity of mode selector switch, temperature selector switch and thermostat. (Refer to WP
Replace faulty switch. (Refer to WP 0026 00 and WP 0028 00.)
Step 8.
Check heater wiring and control circuit for loose connections or broken wires.
Tighten loose connections. Replace or repair broken wires. (Refer to WP 0026 00, WP 0028 00,
