CLEANING
Wipe off dirt with clean lint-free cloth (Item 9, WP 0069 00) moistened with warm soapy water or dry cleaning solvent
(Item16, WP 0069 00).
WARNING
DRY CLEANING SOLVENT P-D-680
P-D-680 solvent vapors are toxic. Avoid prolonged or repeated breathing of vapors or
solvent contact with skin. Use only with adequate ventilation. Solvent is flammable and
should not be used near open flame. Fire extinguishers should be readily available when
solvent is used.
REPAIR
1. Straighten damper door (10) and hinge (20) if bent or warped. Replace if necessary.
2. Replace damaged insulation (21).
3. Replace spring (13) if has loose tension.
4. Replace chain (8) if too short.
5. Replace damaged tubing (22).
ASSEMBLY
1.
Attach damper door (10) to hinge (20) with shaft (19) and cotter pins (18).
2.
Attach L-bracket (14) to damper door (10) with screw (16) and locknut (17).
3.
Attach L-bracket (9) to damper door (10) with screw (15).
4.
Attached spring (13) to L-bracket (14) on damper door (10) with screw (11) and locknut (12).
5.
Attached chain (8) to L-bracket (9) on damper door (10) with screw (6) and locknut (7).
INSTALLATION
1. After replacing defective parts, place ventilation damper into unit housing.
2. Install two screws (5) to secure hinge (20) of ventilation damper to side of unit housing.
3. Ensure screw (4) is attached tightly with locknut (24) to ventilation closeout at rear of unit housing.
4. Insert spring (13) onto screw (4) in ventilation closeout at rear of unit housing and secure with locknut (3).
5. Install clamp (23) with screw (2) and locknut (1) to side of unit housing.
