p e r c e n t silver capacity and a melting point of approximately 1300 (704C) is rec
amended.

s o l d e r e d or brazed to prevent the formation of harmful copper oxides.

WARNING
Disconnect the air conditioner from
t h e electrical power source before
a t t e m p t i n g to perform general maint-
e n a n c e on the unit.
a . T u r n the selector switch to the "OFF" position and disconnect the air
conditioner from the electrical power source.
Refer to figure 4-2 and release refrigerant from the system.
b.
Remove all panels, grilles, filters and screens from the unit.

Remove all components and tubing from the casing assembly.
I n s t a l l all components and tubing in new casing assembly.

Install panels, grilles, filters and screens in new casing assembly.
Refer to paragraph 4-8 and purge the refrigerant system.
g.
h.
Refer to figure 4-4 and evacuate the refigerant system.
i.
R e f e r to paragraph 4-10 and charge the system with refrigerant.
j. C o n n e c t the air conditioner to the electrical power source. Turn the
s e l e c t o r switch to the "COOL" position and turn the thermostat control knob counter-
clockwise to its limit.
k. Using available leak detector, check the entire unit for refrigerant leaks.
R e p a i r any leaks found.
l . I f air conditioner does not function properly, troubleshoot unit in accor-
d a n c e with table 41.
