Section II. Troubleshooting

a. The troubleshooting table (table 4-1) lists the common malfunctions
w h i c h you may find during the operation or maintenance of the air conditioner or its
components. Y o u should perform the test/inspections and corrective actions in the
order l i s t e d .
b . For a specific malfunction, perform procedures listed in troubleshooting
t a b l e 3-2 before performing the procedures listed in table 4-1.
c . T h i s manual can not list all malfunctions which may occur. However, all
t e s t s o r i n s p e c t i o n s a n d c o r r e c t i v e a c t i o n s a r e l i s t e d f o r m o s t common malfunctions.
If malfunction is not listed or is not corrected by listed corrective actions,
notify your supervisor.

Step 1.
Inspect compressor for burnout (paragraph 4-12).
R e p l a c e burned out compressor (paragraph 4-12).

I n s p e c t for burned out fuse(s) (paragraph 3-10f).
Replace burned out fuse(s).
Inspect and test circuit breaker (paragraph 3-10g).
Step 3.
Replace damaged or defective circuit breaker.
Inspect and test thermostat (paragraph 3-10c).
Step 4.
R e p l a c e damaged or defective thermostat.
