DIAGRAM
INSPECTION
Check the Rectifier and the Capacitors for general condition and loose, broken, or missing terminals.
TESTING
Rectifier CR1
1. Tag and disconnect ALL wire leads.
2. Using a multimeter on high ohms setting, connect the negative (-) lead to terminal 2 and the positive (+) lead to
terminal 1 or 3. A low-resistance reading should be obtained.
3. Connect the positive lead to terminal 2 and the negative lead to terminal 1 or 3. A very high resistance or open
circuit reading should be obtained.
4. Connect the positive lead to terminal 4 and the negative lead to terminal 1 or 3. A low resistance reading should be
obtained.
5. Connect the negative lead to terminal 4 and the positive lead to terminal 1 or 3. A very high resistance or open
circuit reading should be obtained.
6. Replace the defective rectifier and capacitors.
7. See WP 0028 00, Wiring Diagram. Connect ALL wire leads and remove tags.
