TROUBLESHOOTING
MALFUNCTION/SYMPTOM
PROCEDURE
Air Conditioner Fails to Operate
1.
Power cable not connected to proper voltage and phase or proper connector
J2 or J1 ALTERNATE).
2.
Circuit breaker is OFF
3.
Mode selector switch is in OFF position.
4.
High pressure switch has not been reset.
Insufficient Cooling
1.
Mode selector switch is not properly positioned on COOL.
2.
Temperature switch is not set correctly to COOLER.
3.
Insufficient air is passing across the evaporator coil due to intake and
discharge louver obstructions.
4.
Too much outside air is entering the unit through the damper door.
5.
Insufficient refrigerant in the system.
6.
Insufficient air is passing through the condenser coil due to inlet and outlet
louver instructions.
NOTE
Report fault to unit maintenance personnel if any of the following conditions occurs.
7.
Solenoid coil on liquid line solenoid is inoperative.
8.
Faulty evaporator blower motor bearings.
No Heat or Low Heat
1.
Temperature selector switch is not set correctly to WARMER setting.
2.
Insufficient air is passing over heaters due to obstructions of evaporator air
intake and discharge louvers.
3.
Insufficient air is passing over heaters due to evaporator air intake louver
blades being closed.
NOTE
Report fault to unit maintenance personnel if any of the following conditions occurs.
4.
Faulty evaporator blower motor bearings.
