WARNING
Fan blades are sharp and can cut. Use gloves when handling fan blades to avoid
injury.
CAUTION
The radiator coils damage easily. When installing condenser fan onto standby motor
shaft, use extreme care so as not to damage the radiator coils.
The condenser fan must be a minimum of 1-inch away from radiator to make sure
adequate clearance is provided. Failure to comply can result in damage to the
radiator and/or condenser fan.
NOTE
Spray a small amount of lubricating oil onto the standby motor shaft before
attempting to install the condenser fan.
7. Carefully spread fan collar (Figure 6, Item 2) using screwdriver to ease installation of condenser fan (Figure 6,
Item 3) onto standby motor shaft (Figure 6, Item 10). Install condenser fan (Figure 6, Item 3) onto standby motor
shaft (Figure 6, Item 10) making sure there is a clearance of 3/8-inch between base of standby motor and fan
collar.
8. Tighten two setscrews (Figure 6, Item 1) to secure fan onto standby motor shaft (Figure 6, Item 10).
9. Loosely fit alternator and standby motor belts to standby motor pulley.
10. Secure standby motor assembly (Figure 6, Item 11) to chassis (Figure 6, Item 8) using four bolts (Figure 6,
Item 6) and washers (Figure 6, Item 7). Ensure long and short bolts are in correct location.
11. Install standby motor to compressor V-belts (WP 0036, Install).
NOTE
Use bolts to align brackets before tightening.
12. If removed, install alternator brackets (Figure 7, Item 7 and Item 8) and secure using four bolts (Figure 7,
Item 4), washers (Figure 7, Item 5), and nuts (Figure 7, Item 6). Install tube clamp (Figure 7, Item 3).
