CAUTION
Guide pulley around vibration absorber while lifting standby motor assembly.
25. Lift standby motor assembly (Figure 4, Item 11) slowly allowing it to swing forward until rear standby motor
pulley (Figure 4, Item 5) is forward of plumbing.
NOTE
While lifting and guiding the standby motor/single-phase alternator out of the
installation, it may be necessary to use a flat tip screwdriver to aid in the movement
of the assembly around and over the compressor.
26. Continue to slowly lift standby motor assembly (Figure 4, Item 11) while guiding from side to side to avoid
plumbing and compressor (Figure 4, Item 13) until assembly is free of container.
CAUTION
Use extreme care when positioning the unit on a flat surface for further separation as
the unit will not be stable. Leave the assembly secured to the hoist until the standby
motor and motor bracket is separated.
27. Place removed standby motor assembly (Figure 5, Item 1) on a flat surface and leave attached to hoist.
28. Remove four bolts (Figure 5, Item 2), washers (Figure 5, Item 3), and nuts (Figure 5, Item 5) securing standby
motor (Figure 5, Item 6) to motor bracket (Figure 5, Item 7). Discard lock nuts.
29. Remove standby motor (Figure 5, Item 6), and place on flat surface.
30. Disconnect hoist from eyebolt (Figure 5, Item 8).
