PREPARATION FOR STORAGE
NOTE
Pump down refrigeration unit to capture refrigerant if unit is to be stored for greater than 90 days.
1. If unit is to be stored for greater than 90 days, perform refrigeration unit pump down procedures (WP 0014,
pump refrigeration unit down).
2. Ensure MTRCS is tagged in accordance with unit SOP to indicate system is pumped down.
3. If using an external electrical source, make sure to disconnect power cable (WP 0052, Replace).
4. Perform PMCS to inspect equipment for damage incurred during use. If equipment is damaged, repair damage
in accordance with applicable repair procedure (TM 10-8415-222-10).
5. Inventory components against Components of End Item (COEI) and Basic Issue Items (BII) lists to verify unit is
complete. Report all discrepancies following the instructions of DA Pam 738-750 or DA Pam 750-8 as
applicable (TM 10-8415-222-10).
6. Check to see if equipment has been modified.
7. Empty fuel tank to appropriate level (WP 0012, Service).
9. Unload paper in temperature chart recorder (TM 10-8415-222-10).
10. Clean interior compartment in accordance with TB MED 530.
11. Secure PLS rollers in stowed position (TM 10-8415-222-10, Store).
12. Secure interior bulkhead in storage position (TM 10-8415-222-10, Store).
