13. Remove engine to compressor V-belt (Figure 3, Item 2).
14. Install engine to compressor V-belt (Figure 3, Item 2) over clutch and compressor.
15. Install engine mounted centrifugal clutch (WP 0073, Install).
16. Install idler assembly (Figure 3, Item 4) onto bracket (Figure 3, Item 8).
NOTE
Adjustment of the tensioner adjustment bolt will be accomplished during the
reinstallation of the engine to compressor V-belt.
Ensure raised side of washer faces bearing.
17. Install pulley (Figure 3, Item 7) onto new idler assembly (Figure 3, Item 4) and secure using one washer
(Figure 3, Item 6) and new lock nut (Figure 3, Item 5).
18. Install tensioner adjustment bolt (Figure 3, Item 1) and washer (Figure 3, Item 3) through bracket (Figure 3,
Item 8) and into idler assembly (Figure 3, Item 4).
19. Tighten idler tensioner bolt (Figure 3, Item 1) to attain tension of 30-50 foot-pounds on engine to compressor
V-belt (Figure 3, Item 2).
20. Tighten nut (Figure 3, Item 3) to secure idler tension bolt (Figure 3, Item 1).
21. Check V-belt tension using V-belt tension gauge. V-belt tension should be 30-50 pounds.
22. Replace standby motor to compressor V-belts (WP 0036, Install).
23. Install muffler (TM 10-8415-222-10, Install).
24. Install top-middle panel (WP 0013, Install).
25. Install top-right panel (WP 0013, Install).
26. Place emergency stop switch (Figure 2, Item 1) in PULL TO START position.
27. Exit top of MTRCS.
28. Reconnect negative (-) battery terminal (WP 0053, Reconnect).
29. Operate MTRCS to verify proper operation (TM 10-8415-222-10, Operating Procedures).
30. Place MTRCS back into desired mode of operation (TM 10-8415-222-10, Operating Procedures).
