5. Remove relay board (Figure 13, Item 2) from bracket (Figure 13, Item 7).
6. Install new relay board (Figure 13, Item 2) onto bracket (Figure 13, Item 7).
7. Secure relay board (Figure 13, Item 2) to bracket (Figure 13, Item 7) with five washers (Figure 13, Item 6) and
nuts (Figure 13, Item 5).
8. Install four wires (Figure 13, Item 9) as tagged and secure with three nuts (Figure 13, Item 8).
9. Connect orange wire (Figure 13, Item 4) (soldered to relay board) to orange wire in wire bundle with butt splice.
10. Connect four electrical connectors (Figure 13, Item 1) to relay board (Figure 13, Item 2) as tagged.
11. Reconnect battery negative (-) terminal (WP 0053, Connect).
12. Operate unit in accordance with normal operating procedures to verify proper operation.
13. Place MTRCS back into desired mode of operation (TM 10-8415-222-10, Operating Procedures).
Replace Microprocessor (MPC) Board
NOTE
The EMI bracket will remain attached to the door and the relay board attached to the
panel with wiring connected.
1. Remove sixteen screws (Figure 17, Item 1), washers (Figure 17, Item 2), and ground wire Figure 17, Item 3)
from panel (Figure 17, Item 4).
2. Carefully pull panel (Figure 17, Item 4) from EMI box (Figure 17, Item 5) and EMI gasket (Figure 17, Item 6).
3. Remove tape and disconnect connector P2 (Figure 17, Item 7) from MPC board (Figure 17, Item 8).
4. Remove eight nuts (Figure 17, Item 9), washers (Figure 17, Item 10) and ground wire (Figure 17, Item 11) from
EMI box (Figure 17, Item 5).
5. Remove MPC board (Figure 17, Item 8) from EMI box (Figure 17, Item 5).
6. Loosen two screws with O-rings (Figure 17, Item 12) and disconnect two connectors P1 (Figure 17, Item 13)
from MPC board (Figure 17, Item 8). Retain two O-rings on connectors for installation.
7. Install O-ring on each connector screw (Figure 17, Item 12) and connect two connectors P1 (Figure 17, Item 13)
to MPC board (Figure 17, Item 8). Tighten two screws (Figure 17, Item 12).
8. Install MPC board (Figure 17, Item 8) into EMI box (Figure 17, Item 5).
