REPAIR
Replace Door Handle
1. Open power box door (Figure 1, Item 1) and secure open.
2. Remove flange bolt (Figure 1, Item 2), latch (Figure 1, Item 3), and handle (Figure 1, Item 4).
3. Remove nut (Figure 1, Item 5) and flange (Figure 1, Item 6) from door (Figure 1, Item 1).
NOTE
Make sure that the new handle is oriented correctly so that rotation of the handle
causes latching mechanism to contact power box frame.
4. Install new handle (Figure 1, Item 4) into door (Figure 1, Item 1) and secure using nut (Figure 1, Item 5).
5. Install latch (Figure 1, Item 3) onto handle (Figure 1, Item 4) and secure with flange bolt (Figure 1, Item 2).
6. Close and latch power box door (Figure 1, Item 1).
7. Operate unit in accordance with normal operating procedures to test for proper operation (TM 10-8415-222-10,
Operating Procedures).
8. Place MTRCS back into desired mode of operation (TM 10-8415-222-10, Operating Procedures).
