7. Tag and remove four wires (Figure 9, Item 1) from top of MC (Figure 9, Item 2).
8. Release connecting clip (Figure 9, Item 3) between OL (Figure 9, Item 4) and MC (Figure 9, Item 2) by sliding a
small screwdriver upward on the clip.
9. Separate the OL (Figure 9, Item 4) from the MC (Figure 9, Item 2) by pulling apart. If necessary, use a flat blade
screwdriver to pry devices apart.
10. To remove MC (Figure 9, Item 2), tag and remove two wires and jumper wire (Figure 9, Item 5) from bottom of
MC.
11. Remove two nuts (Figure 9, Item 6), washers (Figure 9, Item 7), and MC (Figure 9, Item 2) from panel assembly
(Figure 9, Item 8).
12. Install the new MC (Figure 9, Item 2) onto panel assembly (Figure 9, Item 8) and secure using two nuts (Figure
9, Item 6) and washers (Figure 9, Item 7).
13. Loosely connect four wires (Figure 9, Item 1) to outer slots (closer to screw) of MC (Figure 9, Item 2) as tagged.
14. Connect two wires and jumper wire (Figure 9, Item 5) to bottom of MC (Figure 9, Item 2) as tagged.
15. Match the dial position of the new OL (Figure 9, Item 4) to the removed OL recorded in step 2.
16. Plug OL (Figure 9, Item 4) into the lower slots (away from screws) on the MC (Figure 9, Item 2) and secure by
sliding connecting clip (Figure 9, Item 3) upward.
